Product areas
Which powders Avoria GmbH fills into sachets
Protein powders
Whey, plant and multi-component proteins in single portions (stick pack, 20-35 g) and larger sachets. Flow behavior varies considerably by protein source - calibration run before every series order.
Food supplements
Vitamin complexes, mineral granulates, probiotic powders, omega-3 granulates, collagen peptides, electrolyte blend powders. Many are oxidation-sensitive - high-quality barrier films or modified atmosphere during sealing.
Spices & seasoning blends
Single spices and compound blends, barbecue seasonings, salad dressing powders, curry powders, stock concentrates. Fine particle sizes and high fat contents require adapted dosing heads.
Instant drink powders
Coffee substitutes, matcha, instant tea powders, electrolyte drinks, shaker powders. Pronounced hygroscopic behavior - packaging atmosphere and filling speed coordinated.
Baking mixes & functional ingredients
Protein-rich baking mixes, gluten-free flour blends, sauce thickeners. Bulk density varies widely - between fine rice flour and coarsely ground oats lies a factor that affects the machine configuration.
Functional food & superfoods
Spirulina, chlorella, maca, ashwagandha, turmeric extracts, reishi powder, moringa. Very small quantities of 1-5 g per sachet at high raw material prices - dosing accuracy is directly cost-relevant.
Technical requirements
What food powders require technically in sachet filling
Flow behavior & caking
Protein powders with high fat content and hygroscopic ingredients tend to cake: the powder compacts in the conveying path and the mass flow collapses. Avoria GmbH checks flow behavior during product onboarding and configures the dosing head product-specifically before every production run.
Particle size & dust development
Superfood powders such as spirulina or chlorella are often below 50 micrometers. High dust content, electrostatic charging, adhesion effects on film and dosing head - these require different auger geometries than coarsely ground grain or granulate.
Hygroscopicity
Electrolyte powders, vitamin C blends and sugar-based instant products are highly moisture-sensitive. The critical variable is the total exposure time of the open powder to the production atmosphere. Temperature and humidity conditions are recorded in the batch record.
Allergen cleaning
Protein powders frequently contain declarable allergens: milk, soy, gluten, nuts. Different products are produced in separate production runs. Cleaning validation between runs of different allergen classes - evidence included in the quality documentation package.
Film & quality assurance
Film, oxygen barrier and HACCP - why food-grade sachets impose different requirements
Oxygen barrier: Oxidation-sensitive products - protein powders, omega-3 granulates, coffee substitutes - lose quality quickly if the film is not sufficiently oxygen-tight. Typical: BOPP/alu/PE or PET/alu/PE laminate. For organic certification requirements, compostable alternatives are evaluated.
Food contact compliance: All films used for food powders meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 on food contact materials. Declarations of conformity from the film manufacturers are part of the order documentation for every production run.
HACCP for food powders: Not optional. A system for identifying and controlling biological, chemical and physical hazards - in line with EU Food Hygiene Regulation (EC) No 852/2004. ISO 9001:2015 is the quality management credential for B2B supplier qualification.
Batch record
Documented for every production run
- →Product designation and batch number
- →Raw material batch numbers (traceability)
- →Fill weight samples and production date
- →Temperature and humidity conditions (for hygroscopic products)
- →Best-before date (BBD)
- →Certificate of Analysis (CoA)
Certification
HACCP and ISO 9001 in food powder filling - quality assurance for B2B clients
HACCP - food powders
A complete HACCP system for all food powder production runs. In line with EU Food Hygiene Regulation (EC) No 852/2004. Identification and control of biological, chemical and physical hazards in the production process.
ISO 9001:2015
The quality management credential for B2B supplier qualification. IFS Food is a standard for food retail - not for B2B industrial customers. Brands that need to qualify a sachet contract filler need ISO 9001:2015.
Calibration run & auger dosing
For every new product, Avoria GmbH performs a calibration run before series production. Auger diameter, speed and hopper configuration are tuned to the specific powder. Achievable precision: ±2-3% of the fill weight.
Direct manufacturer Roßtal
No subcontracting. Production entirely in our own facility in Roßtal, Bavaria since 2010. Your inquiry goes to our own production - not to a broker. For new products, a calibration run with a small pilot quantity is recommended before series production.
Not within our scope: Pharmaceutical powders requiring an AMG manufacturing license, controlled substances (BtMG), and explosives or ATEX-classified dusts. For industrial and technical chemicals with REACH requirements: see the technical powders page.
Important note
Not every powder can be filled without assessment
Flow properties, bulk density and material compatibility determine feasibility. We assess your product transparently - you receive clear feedback on feasibility and conditions.
For a quick assessment we need
- →Product designation and product type
- →Consistency (powder, granulate, flakes)
- →Fill quantity per container (g, kg or ml)
- →Total quantity (units or tonnes)
- →Packaging format (pouch, can, sack, sachet)
- →Packaging material: from us or supplied by you?
- →Raw material: from us or supplied by you?
- →Desired delivery date and target price

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about powder filling in Germany - answered quickly.
Sometimes a short call is faster than any form.
Call now →For sachets, the economically sensible batch size usually starts at 1,000-2,000 units. For small runs for product development and market testing, pilot batches from around 500 units are possible. A binding answer requires an inquiry with fill weight and format.
No. Different products are produced in separate production runs, each with its own calibration record. Cross-contamination - especially with allergens such as milk protein, soy or gluten - is prevented by batch cleaning with cleaning validation between production runs.
Yes. Every production series receives a complete batch record (batch number, production date, raw material batch numbers, fill weight samples, best-before date) and a Certificate of Analysis. For hygroscopic products, temperature and humidity conditions during production are documented additionally.
For oxidation-sensitive products, Avoria GmbH typically recommends BOPP/alu/PE or PET/alu/PE laminates with an aluminum barrier. The specific film recommendation depends on the product, the desired shelf life, the sachet size and any organic certification requirements, and is defined during product onboarding.
For new products with a calibration run, clients usually allow 3-6 weeks until the first series batch - depending on product complexity, film procurement and production capacity. Inquiries usually receive initial feedback on technical feasibility within 1-2 working days.
Yes. Superfood powders such as spirulina or chlorella have very fine particle sizes (below 50 micrometers), high electrostatic charging and a tendency to adhere to film and dosing head. This requires specific auger geometries and tighter dosing tolerances - particularly relevant at fill quantities below 5 g. Coarsely ground protein powders behave differently from isolated whey concentrates.
