Accepted Answer

Fine powders with dust explosion potential are processed with ATEX-zone-aware production procedures. We assess ATEX relevance at the inquiry stage - particle size, bulk density and material composition determine the dust explosion class. Not every powder inquiry triggers ATEX requirements.

Can hazardous chemical powders (ADR classes) be filled?

Accepted Answer

We process CLP-classified chemical powders with a current safety data sheet. For ADR-classified powders requiring compliant dangerous goods packaging, we coordinate the appropriate certified packaging and shipping labeling. ADR class, packing group and UN number must be confirmed in the inquiry specification.

How is the fill weight controlled in powder contract filling?

Avoria GmbH uses auger dosing systems (screw dosing). Before production starts, at least ten consecutive test fills are checked and documented. During production, the fill weight is checked at defined intervals. All results feed into the batch record - including tolerance evidence for each filling batch.
